Precisa

Kinda looks like Astia in this shot, but it's not.

Yes, apologies for the silence. Very busy, out of town, work is overbearing etc.. But I have new things in the works, a collaborative show with The Fu Collective next month on and on and on and on. Hope everyone is well in your world(s),

More from the Bessa

Lots of gardening happening lately. I can't wait for the heirloom tomatoes. The lettuce mix is up and very tasty.

Is this boring? I don't care. We can grow our own food.

Running in the Streets

Another 10k under the expanding belt. We managed to finish the BolderBoulder's 30th Anniversary race without dying and/or training. We walked a little and still managed to only be 10 minutes over last year. All in all, a lot to accomplish before 9:30 am. So here's to us.

Now where's my beer?

A decent cup of coffee

...can sometimes be difficult to come by.

But we got one today. You know how I can be about coffee.

Did I mention drinks?

-Yes we are, rock and muthafuckin' roll-

Check yesterday's blog and then hang out tonight at Labyrinth where the art AND the curators are frequently repurposed. 5x7's available print only or encased in an amalgamation of clear kryptonite and a recently uncovered 2-pack of Aquanet Extra Gnarly Hold.

I'll return after pouring that to do something a little better than shameless party promotion.

My people are amazing. Thank you for everything and for making my day pretty damn incredible. It would take paragraphs, honestly. Much love,

It might have been nice to go to school for this. Oh well, right?

I'm supposedly exactly where I'm supposed to be.

Ticking Clocks are Ruining My Friday

Go find some little things.

Happy weekend, monkeys. I'm all worded-out. Guest-posted on Shoot The Duck this morning. It's that link on the left side there, if you're interested. Watch me get all wordy. We know that images are better for me. It's all kindof right there, or at least it should be. Less rambling, more pictures.

Will I see you at a show tonight? That'd be cool. Let's connect again if we can, if we should.

The Business of 3(3)

So, in terms of the maths, this post has a value of 9.

Just wanted to openly show some thanks for all the love and support from my friends and loved ones this past stretch. The Bolder Boulder was fun times, the BBQ great (someone please come take some food away). The time has been flying by but honestly, so well-spent. It's difficult really, to know what all to say here and what to keep to myself. I think I must keep some things that are sacred, just so.

There are really amazing things happening to me, around me. There are amazing things yet to come.

So thank you.

Flowers for Mum?

I like them still-growing, if possible. Your mileage may vary. Big day planned, but her boys are all here. Make it count.

And a very happy one to all the moms I know and love out there in this very small world. You know who you are and the world is thinking of you.

Friday-ness

Good sun this morning. Back lawn watered. Only 4 dandelions reared their little yellow mugs in the back. I hesitate to look at the front. I took at least 10 pounds of the bastards out of the yard yesterday. No spray yet.

In other news, I keep picking up CD's at the library based on their cover art. This weeks find is a great ambient/prog-rock? band called
Stars of the Lid. Two discs of droney-soundscape goodness. If you're a fan of the amazing Explosions in the Sky then I highly recommend them. I can be lucky sometimes.

They have a great opening flash sequence on the homepage but not a lot to back it. Still, the music is pretty damn amazing. With headphones, shit can alter your brainwaves, I'm sure of it. Chalk up one more for Austin. sheesh. If I were to move there to be surrounded by all this great music, it would probably move somewhere else.

kekida has not one, but two new series up. One from a place going into winter and another walking strenuously away from it.

Feeling Anything

Found this in a pile of old fisheye shots. It's most of the colors I am interested in right now. I have no idea what film this was but it kind of looks like Agfa RSX-II. Has grain like that crappy Konica Chrome 100 I bought 2+ years ago but not as weak of a x-pro feel. I'd have to look.
