Not bad at all

Last night was the opening of the MCA's temporary but cool space and light installation by Erwin Redl. Good drinks, good friends and lots and lots of red. What more could a shutterbug ask for?

Tonight was the big fund-raiser for the gallery space at which I do volunteer work. It was at Cableland, the official residence of the Mayor of Denver. John Hickenlooper actually lives in a loft downtown rather than this place, but nevertheless, it is a house for the mayor should he want to crash there. It is host to many a non-profit organization's fund-raising efforts. After a few hours of schlepping and getting all of the donated art set and ready to bid upon, the party started.

I was off having a drink and bar food with BCD, but I managed to get home, throw on a decent shirt and jacket and make it to the actual event. Decent bar, nice snacks and I'm home by 9.

Not bad at all.

I have shots from last night that I pretty much love. I'll be posting more soon. One or two I'm not even sure it's ok to show. They go really well with some Jesus and Mary Chain though, so I'll let you know when to hit play on that.
