A Unique Something

This holiday weekend, a good bit of time was dedicated to the darkroom I co-manage with BCD. She had this amazing idea or making actual photographic prints and somehow placing text for our next round of promotional flyers. I donated a fair bit of paper, as did she. Also, she put in most of the thought and effort and was kind enough to select some of my images for the prints.

The final product became this amazing, rough-toned set of images, both positive and negative prints, made from assembling other prints together, some light typography work and final screenprinting, 4-up, all the way. People will hold originals in their hand and think of making their own, hopefully.

We're very proud of them. Some of the ones with lots of white space have magenta text. These dark ones have an almost 'glowpaint' color to them as we mixed silver and yellow inks, somewhat unintentionally, but sortof not.
A lot of hours, worth every bit. If you ever see one around town, let me know. Oh and for future reference, putting darkrom prints through a standard 525 F dryer for the plastisol ink ~may~ make your photo print bubble, scorch and warp insanely. But those four flyers still look kinda cool.
