In an idle mode but my energy's kinetic...

this picture is boring

"jalik, jalik-a windup ya hip."

Yeah I have no idea if that's how you spell the lyrical styling word from A Tribe Called Quest. I suppose I could look it up but I'm on task today. Lots of vinyl to cut and masks to cut and prints to make and signage/verbiage to send out for approval and a few stray plots for templates that were o-so-bloody important but are sitting in the shop untouched as I type. I'm tired of peeps with no clue about what a real fire is compared to some stand-by project bullshit. I have to put em all out though, paper can fire to a barn-burner. It crosses my desk usually. Spitting on it doesn't help.

So I got up in here to talk about my Trek trecks..tracks? i dunno. It's a dumb name anyway. Let's call it lunchtime escape.

I bought this Trek Antelope 800 for maybe 75 or 70 dollars about 2 weeks ago. I decided yesterday, since the weather was nice, I would throw it into my 82 Vanagon and ride during my lunch break at work. It has been great and I've already found some great potential canvases for some spring work. There are really only the occasional chubby chirping prairie dogs to greet me but that's fine. I'm trying to get away after all. I took a longer trail than intended today and ended up having to do an extra 2 miles or so and was about 10 minutes late. I woulda been fine if I wasn't lazy and went with the other guys to eat McD's -urp- before I rode. Now I feel like I never chewed it and it wants out a little. That always happens when I eat McD's anymore. It's a good reminder that I shouldn't eat that shit.

Tomorrow Pho with Tim, one of our badass illustrators that has begun to do some acrylic paintings in an admired style. He has a book of this one illustrator who uses the interior of cereal boxes to paint on. It looks way rad and has buku texture. I told him I will save him my cereal boxes (fruity pebbles of course) and he offered to do an illo for me! Sweet, I love art trades. He wants to just do one for free though. What do I ask for? I kinda want some stylistic DJ or summin. But that's not me, what's me? Maybe he will make me a cool hermit with fancy cameras and an old Trek bike.
